As a Member of Congress, I will protect law enforcement's ability to do their job, give them the resources they need and protect every community in Congressional District 29.
Our nation's veterans are the reason why we remain free in the greatest nation on earth. The sacrifice of our men and women in uniform should be highlighted and revered by all Americans. As a Member of Congress; I will work with the President to reform the VA, allow our men and women more choice in care and to allow our veterans to get all the benefits they are entitled to.
I believe that we can work with the private sector to bring prescription drug prices down and protect pre-existing conditions without creating government-run healthcare and to eliminate Obamacare.
Human Trafficking is truly the modern day slavery and unfortunately, Houston is one of the major hubs in the United States. As a Member of Congress; I will hope to pass legislation to help combat the crime as well as spread awareness to our community.
I believe that we must do everything we can to help victims, families and defendants have a criminal justice system that is fair to all parties involved. That is why I would have voted for the First Step Act and look forward to working with my colleagues on more ways that we can make justice fair for everyone involved in it.
As a business owner, I believe in a balanced budget. I intend to work with my colleagues for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and will vote NO on wasteful spending or continuous resolutions. We need an actual budget for the United States.
